I Never Game

This is a great game to play with a group of temari stitchers who don't know each other yet. It gives you a chance to explore who has experience with what in a friendly way. It is really just a regular party game that I hijacked for temari fun. Be warned... there is a slight advantage to new stitchers.

The Set Up

Each player will need a number of markers of some sort. Roughly two times the number of players should be enough but you might want to have extras on hand in case you wish to continue the game past two rounds. Pennies, marbles, and bingo markers would all be suitable.

The Play

The first person makes an 'I never...' statement. For example Susie Stitcher says, "I never made a mari using socks for the base." Any of the other players who have done what was said need to give one of their markers to the one who made the statement. So I would give Susie one of my markers since I have made maris from socks before.

The play continues around the group with each person making a new 'I never...' statement. Do two full rounds of everyone or continue until someone runs out of markers if you wish. The winner is the one who collects the most markers.
