Directions

  1. Wrap bands of color along every other vertical division line.
  2. Stitch green uwagake over the bands. The top stitch goes close to where two bands overlap on the vertical division lines not wrapped and the bottom stitch goes around the band rather than a simple point.
  3. Work a starburst over the N and S poles with the ends of the stitches going into the tops of the uwagake stitches.
  4. Add purple pine needle stitches across the obi in the negative space.
  5. Wrap the green obi.

Notes

I wanted to compare the shine of the reeled silk perle to regular cotton #5 perle. The silk is wonderful. It seems to glow even in low light. #050301 is the same pattern in a different colorway.
