Directions

  1. Wrap mari and mark a C8 with copper.
  2. Stitch brown interwoven crossed spindle in each square. (red on diagram) Space the spindle stitches so that the corner intersections of the spindles is at about the 1/3 mark as shown on the diagram. The last round is metallic.
  3. Stitch alternating diamonds on top of the spindles from step 2 using the Tiger Lily color. (blue and green on diagram) Inner points are at the 1/3 mark; outer points are at the 2/3 mark. The last outer stitches on the diamonds should be at the edge of the square. The last row is metallic.
  4. Embellish negative space as desired.

Notes

I really like this one even though these are not colors I would normally choose. The pattern in the book is done with higher contrast colors giving it more of a flower look than this one ended up having.
