Directions
- Mark 122 multipole with thread to match wrap.
- Stitch lazy daisy flowers at each pentagon and the five hexagons surrounding it.
- Stitch red hexagons in the hexagons between two flower sections (see diagram).
- Stitch green lazy daisy flowers in the remaining hexagons.
- Stitch a black V section on top of the red hexagons to create the ladybug head (see diagram).
- Stitch french knots with black for the ladybug spots and white for the ladybug eyes.
- Stitch gold outlines around the ladybugs and flower sections.
- Add black straight stitches for the antennae.
Notes
French knots on temari are a pain. I think if I ever do this one again I will buy little black seed beads to use for the spots. I liked the way the watercolors thread felt on the ball. It changed considerably when all of the pieces were stitched.
