Division/Marking

S10 w/obi

Directions

  1. Mark an S10 with obi in silver.
  2. Decide how wide you want your finished obi to be, then divide the remaining distance to the pole in half. Place pins at this distance from the pole on every other marking line.
  3. Stitch a five pointed star using the pins in step 2 for stitch placement. Be careful to establish the weaving pattern correctly.
  4. Stitch rows on the star until the space between the first row and the inner points is filled in.
  5. Stitch a solid pentagon in the center of the star.
  6. Wrap and stitch the obi as desired.
