Stitch a kiku design with top points very close to the poles and bottom points starting at the halfway point. 2 rows pink, 1 row brown, 2 rows pink, 1 row brown interlocked. Keep the stitches at the top right next to each other so there is no space between petals. Wrap the obi as desired.
Kiku design for JTA level 1 certification. I worked hard to get the stitches to be right next to each other at the pole in order to enhance the zig zag effect. Stitch tension is very important to not pull the sttiches away from each other. I really like the stripes.
