Diagrams

line drawing showing placement of hexagons and triangles
Small hexagons stitched first, then triangles ABC

Directions

  1. Wrap a mari in red and mark a 10-combination in gold.
  2. Stitch a closed hexagon shape at each of the 6-way intersections (20) with white. The last row will be just inside the 1/2 point towards the 4-way intersections. (see diagram)
  3. Stitch large triangles A, B, C, going around the small hexagons. (1 row black, 2 rows white, 1 row black) There are a total of 20. The triangles are interlocked around the hexagons (see diagram) but layered at the center of the pentagons.

Notes

for JTA Koutouka (level 2) certification. Uses large triangles similar to those on #060302 and 060204, layered at pentagon centers, interwoven around hexagons. I think these are tetrahedral triangles on a C10 but I need to play with the geometry a bit to be sure.
