S8 w/obi
Stitch an octagon one the N and S poles starting as close to the pole as possible. Use alternating row kagari. For the obi, stitch a large zig-zag crossing at the obi with the stitches coming about 3/4 of the way to the octagon points. Stitch a second row with the stitches spaced far enough apart to leave a small gap. Wrap two rows above and below the obi.
I did this one to work out the bugs of alternating the orientation of the kagari stitches for different effects. Used as an example in the Stitching Solid and Open Shapes Techniques pattern investigation. Compare with 060404.
