S8 w/obi
Stitch an octagon one the N and S poles starting as close to the pole as possible. Use alternating stitch and row kagari. For the obi, use two strands in the needle and wrap one round above and below the marked obi. Then stitch a large zig-zag over the obi with the stitches coming almost to the octagon points.
I did this one to work out the bugs of alternating the orientation of the kagari stitches for different effects. Used as an example in the Stitching Solid and Open Shapes Techniques pattern investigation. Compare with 060403.
