Diagrams

line drawing of C10 showing five point star placement
Note pin to mark starting place. Red five point star A stitched first (1 - 5) then thread under wrap (dotted blue lines) to stitch B through F five point stars.

Directions

  1. Place a pin on the N and S pole short lines of the pentagon where the five point star will start.
  2. Stitch a five point star around the N pole, then stitch the five point stars around each of the pentagons around the N pole in order B through F.
  3. Repeat at S pole.
  4. Continue to stitch stars in the same order until the shapes fill in the space (8 rows on this one, 2 blue, 3 variegated, 2 green, 1 gold)

Notes

This is a thread eater design. It took about 12 yards of each color. I really like this design. I love the way the Dragon Hoard thread stitched up. (I think I'll have to get some more.) I can see a pattern investigation forming based on how the five point stars intersect and how much they intersect.
