Directions

These are corrected directions to go with the new corrected diagram. September 14, 2009

  1. Wrap mari and mark a C10 with gold.
  2. Stitch one row using a different color on each of the 12 stars as diagramed. Be sure the thread passes just outside the center of the 6 part triangles as you move from point to point.
  3. Continue to stitch rows, maintaining the same stitching order and colors until there is room for only one more row.
  4. Stitch the last row with gold.

Notes

I was not sure this design would hold up with multiple colors in this way. It did look rather chaotic until the last two rows and then it just popped. I think a high contrast background would improve the ball. I have some ideas for alternate finishing stitching that I will draw on the picture and store in my temari to do folder for later study.
