Directions

  1. Mark a C10 with gold.
  2. Stitch the outline of the faces of a tetrahedron using one of the five colors. Stitches are placed at the corners of the pentagons.
  3. Stitch the dual for the tetrahedron just stitched in the same color.
  4. Repeat step 2 and 3 for each of the other 4 colors.

Notes

Stitched for the Platonic Solids design study. I don't think the tetrahedron on the C10 is as useful a geometry as the cube on the C10. When all 10 of them are placed the lines look rather messy and there doesn't seem to be an obvious shortcut for stitching them the way there is for the cube. I might be able to do something with wrapped bands to get all 10 placed. There might be a possibility for 5 pointed stars as well but it'll take some play I think. It is possible to do just 5 tetrahedra as well...it is a fairly well known compound polyhedron and I'll probably play with it when I get around to studying compound polyhedra.

Given To

No one yet, I'll probably wrap over it or remove the lines and start something else when I am done studying it.
