Finished Views

A partially done view before I took it out and began stranding the floss. The intersections are interesting.

Directions
- Mark an S8 with obi. You may choose to leave the obi off but mark the placement with pins. I ended up removing the obi line when I was done wrapping.
- Decide on an order to wrap the colors. Wrap one round of the starting color on each side of the poles, crossing at the obi line and having a distance of 1.5cm from the N and S pole. See diagram for placement.
- Wrap one round of each of the other three colors on both sides of the poles.
- For the next round wrap one wrap on both sides of the lines placed in 2 and 3.
- Repeat 4 until there are two rounds left before the colors meet at the middle.
- Wrap one row on the outside edges only for each color
- Wrap one row on the outside and inside edges of each color
- Repeat 6 and 7. The last row on the inner parts should be only one wrap rather than two.
- Wrap the obi as desired. I decided not to wrap this one because my crossovers were neat enough and I liked the color balance.
Notes
The look of the intersections at the intermediate stages is pretty interesting. It might be worth playing with a design that will take advantage of them, perhaps using a weaving techniques like on #060406,#050704 and #050804. The shapes formed on this are the same as the shapes formed on the designs for the pattern investigation Wrapped Bands on a C8 where the bands were wrapped from the outside into the middle also. I need to try it on a S6 and see if I might be able to do the butterfly shapes. I suspect not though because of the way background colors shape up.
