Directions

  1. Wrap and mark a C8.
  2. Wrap one round of fuzzy fiber on each side of the division lines at the halfway points as shown in the diagram.
  3. Use two strands of #5 perle in needle throughout. Stitch a square using the halfway points for placement on each 8-way intersection. (6 of them). Do two rows on each.
  4. Wrap another round of the fuzzy fiber moving in towards the center, weaving one side under the square and one side over
  5. Stitch three rounds on the squares.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 one more time.
  7. Continue to do rounds on the orange squares until the mari is completely covered.
  8. Groom the threads by running the needle under the orange threads to hide the excess fuzzies in the areas where the fuzzy fiber runs underneath.

Notes

Another experiment and an attempt to try and use some of the bizarre fibers that have found their way into my stash over the years. It was not an entirely successful experiment. The fuzzy fiber does not cover well and is a pain to stitch over. It did go through the mari ok but I didn't really like using it. All that is left now are a few orts that might get used on a funky fiber ort ball at some point.
