Anchor floss in three shades of purple (95, 96, 97)

Directions

  1. Wrap a mari in white.
  2. Use six strands (stripped) of the lightest and medium shades to work large straight stitch flowers.
  3. Use the darkest shade (3 strands stripped) to work straight stitches in the center of the flowers for step 2.
  4. Use the green #5 perle to add stem stitch stems connecting the flowers and filling the empty space. Add small straight stitch leaves.

Notes

Another temari for my online friend Barb Suess for Creative Needle magazine. I decided to do large flowers this time for a more dramatic look. (And to make the stitching faster!)
