Notes

This ball uses the multiple of three method to build up layers so that the colored marking threads become the design. I used this one to take the in progress pictures for the multiple of three pattern investigation. I used #8 perle because that is the thread I had the right colors in but I don't think I will do another in it. Barb used Mandarin floss from Rainbow gallery for hers and liked it so I may seek that out to give it a try or stick to the DMC floche. It just doesn't roll as much as the perle and gives a smoother line overall. I got many more ideas for playing with these as I did this one so I'll have to find some time to make a few more at some point. After I finished this one Kathy was commenting about getting a smoother line for the yellow lines by making sure to start and stop at the places where those lines intersect, so I redid my yellow lines and was much happier with the result.
