Directions
- Mark a C10 with silver.
- Add lines to create a 122 multipole.
- Start at a pentagon with orange, stitch a continuous path around hexagons and pentagons until you get to the opposite pentagon from the starting point.
- Switch to turquoise thread and continue to stitch back up to the starting point.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for as many rounds as you wish. This ball used 2 rounds.
Notes
This is an exploration of the HHG stitching path concept. Instead of using kikus I used the outer edges of the hexagons and pentagons. I like the way that one color seems to shadow the other. I also like that you can stitch this sort of hexagon design in this way without worrying about getting the layering correct since it just happens naturally.
