Directions

  1. Mark a C10 with silver.
  2. Add lines to create a 122 multipole.
  3. Start at a pentagon with orange, stitch a continuous path around hexagons and pentagons until you get to the opposite pentagon from the starting point.
  4. Switch to turquoise thread and continue to stitch back up to the starting point.
  5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for as many rounds as you wish. This ball used 2 rounds.

Notes

This is an exploration of the HHG stitching path concept. Instead of using kikus I used the outer edges of the hexagons and pentagons. I like the way that one color seems to shadow the other. I also like that you can stitch this sort of hexagon design in this way without worrying about getting the layering correct since it just happens naturally.
