Directions

  1. Wrap mari and mark a C10 with gold metallic.
  2. Add support lines for a complete 42.
  3. Use two strands of yellow #8 perle in needle to stitch one row around each star shape. To make the layering easier, use an HHG type path as shown on the diagram. Start at the outer point of a 5 point star, stitch around, when taking the closing stitch go underground to the center of the pentagon which is outer point of an adjacent hexagonal star.
  4. Use two strands of the purple Wildflowers in the needle to stitch three more rows on the stars. For the first row take the outer point stitches about 3mm from the yellow stitches, cinching the threads in tightly. Use uwagake on the outer points.
  5. Use two strands of green #8 perle on the needle to stitch the last row of green on the stars. Add compensating stitches as necessary to close any gaps.

Notes

This was a study of a design being stitched on the TC chat group. It is based on a design from an online album that we reverse engineered. I wanted something a little different so I experimented with a single color.
