Directions
- Wrap mari and mark S8 withred perle cotton.
- Use doubled thread throughout.
- Place oins at 2cm up from equator. Use these to stitch one row on 8 spindles with red.
- Layer one row of white kiku on top of the spindles. Bottom points are at pins, upper points are at centers.
- Alternate on spindles and kikus (braided) until the points of the kikus meet.
- Use single strand of Artic rays to do one more row on kikus.
- Finish with one row on the spindles.
Notes
I made a few modifications to the original pattern for this one. I used an S8 instead of an S10, braided kiku instead of regular and I finished with a row on the spindles instead of the kiku. I like the diamond and hour glass effect around the equator. The one row of Arctic Rays seems to give just the right amount of sparkle and fluff.
