These are published designs that each have a single Platonic Solid as the basis for creation. They may use the actual triangles, squares, and pentagons of the faces or they may use other stitching elements such as tri-wings or stars within the shape of the face. This is a fairly common structure for designs; every book I own with combination division designs has at least one design in it with this structure. About a fourth of the books have representative designs for all five of the solids.
The information in these tables is taken from my personal library. I do not have access to all of the published temari pattern sources so it is not a complete listing. All Japanese books are listed by their ISBN number as well as their translated title. The title translations are from the book listing on TemariKai.com. Please note that it is possible to translate titles differently so you may know the source by a slightly different name, but the ISBN number is absolute.
